RUGIPO EXPELS NINE STUDENTS, SUSPENDS OTHER OVER EXAMINATION MALPRACTICES.

The Rufus Giwa Polytechinic (formally Ondo State polytechnic) has expelled no fewer than  nine(9)students  and suspended 18 for indulging in examination malpractices, noting that the breakdown showed 27undergraduate students.

The above decision was taken at the special meeting of the board of studies held on Friday, 17th January, 2020 when the report from the Examination Malpractices Investigation Committee (EMIC) on 2nd semester examinations 2017/2018 academic session and first semester Examination 2018/2019 Academic session were taken and found them culpable of the offences.


The polytechnic's Head of Information and polytechnic's Relations, Olugosi O. E, in a release said the Polytechnic's boards, after due diligence, approved the expulsion and rustication of the students.

The expelled students are;Abiodun Joshua (Electrical electronic Technology), Dada Damilola Olumide(science laboratory Technology), Oseni Toyin Nurat (Banking and Finance), Akinyemi Ayomide Omonike(science laboratory Technology) Aworinde Temidayo (science laboratory Technology), Salami Bankole Desmond (science laboratory Technology)
and Oladejo Funmilayo Folasade(science laboratory Technology). 

Meanwhile, papers of group H of public Administration ND2, Group B Quantity Surveying ND2 and Group C Business Administration management ND 2 were cancelled and consequently special examination would be conducted. 

"The affected students have since been directed to handover any Polytechnic property in their possession, including their identity cards to their heads of department and unit. They were also advised to vacate the campus immediately."
